History Edit

House Draxos is known for its long-standing family tradition of sailors and traders along the western seaboard. Shielded by the great mountain range to the east, the Draxos family was able to maintain relative stability and prosperity in the river delta area to the west in comparison to other strongholds. The pioneering spirit of the Draxos family also can be derived from its adherence to the viking/mountain warrior religions of old. Central to their beliefs is the worship of the leopard gods (ice, blood, rock, and sea) - they continue many ritual traditions viewed by many eastern cities as crude and outdated. While economic prosperity due to its port location and protection from the mountains to the region has stymied the need for war, House Draxos still holds both a powerful naval dominance in the region and many regional outposts along the Frostpeak Mountains.
